Philo in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Business Insights Analyst to drive high-impact decisions through rigorous analysis and trusted metrics. You will own recurring KPI reporting, tackle ambiguous ad-hoc questions, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders, with deep ownership in billing and subscription analytics.

You'll partner across Finance, Product, Growth, Lifecycle Marketing, Content, Customer Experience, and Operations to connect data findings to actionable business

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in business insights, analytics, strategy analytics, finance analytics, BI, or a closely related function.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with large-scale behavioral, subscription, billing, financial, or operational data sets.
• Strong experience building data visualizations, dashboards, and self-serve reporting in BI tools like Mode, Omni, Tableau, Looker, etc.
• Proven track record translating vague business questions into clear analyses, sharp recommendations, and polished narratives.
• Excellent spreadsheet skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong stakeholder partnership, communication, and ability to influence across teams.

Responsabilités

• Own and evolve core dashboards and ad-hoc analyses for subscriber growth, revenue, billing health, retention and engagement.
• Translate ambiguous questions into structured analytical plans, findings, and actionable recommendations.
• Develop deep expertise in Philo's billing and subscription ecosystem (trials, conversion, churn, renewals, add-ons, refunds, etc.).
• Identify levers to improve subscriber health and revenue retention across the lifecycle.
• Partner with Growth and Lifecycle Marketing on acquisition quality, funnel performance, cohort health, and promo effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science on customer journey analysis, experimentation readouts, and insights.
• Support customer-facing and operational teams with insights into billing pain points to improve experience.
• Create executive-ready materials connecting numbers to narrative and guiding decisions.
