Job summary

Ruby Labs Ltd is seeking a Lead Billing Data Analyst to own the data strategy for our subscription billing operations, combining hands-on analytics with leadership of a team of analysts.

You will build data pipelines, dashboards, and models to improve billing performance, surface insights, and drive decisions across Billing, Support, Finance, Product and Marketing. You’ll mentor analysts, set priorities, and ensure high-quality outputs that reduce disputes and churn.

Qualifications

• Deep subscription billing expertise in a recurring-revenue business.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex joins and window functions.
• Data visualization proficiency with Omni, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience leading and mentoring a data team.
• Statistical forecasting, experimentation, and analytics.
• Familiarity with billing processors like Stripe, Braintree, Nuvei.
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Cross-functional collaboration to align metrics and processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and report on billing and support metrics and surface trends.
• Build and maintain data pipelines delivering accurate billing data.
• Apply statistical methods to model scenarios and assess risk.
• Design and run A/B tests for billing and support initiatives.
• Analyze impact of product/pricing changes on billing outcomes and churn.
• Build dashboards providing real-time visibility into billing health.
• Turn insights into recommendations to reduce disputes and inefficiencies.
• Document analyses, workflows, and data definitions for reproducibility.
