Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior Billing Supervisor to oversee the e-billing and payment cycle workflow, including posting, charge corrections, and monthly reconciliation for the Firm’s offices. This full-time, mid-level position requires hands‑on coordination and leadership of the billing team.

The role involves preparing billing reports, ensuring timely invoices, and collaborating with the Controller and Accounting to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Five years of legal billing/receivables experience and in‑depth knowledge of accounting principles and billing software; advanced experience in e‑billing.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a similar role and ability to assume a leadership role.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Applications to include Excel, Outlook, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate observance of e‑billing requirements and processes.
• Prepare monthly, semi‑monthly and ad‑hoc billing reports for internal and external clients.
• Ensure timely invoice submission to clients, based on established timelines.
• Create and distribute ad‑hoc operational and billing reports to management as requested.
• Work with Controller and Accounting Department to identify, review and recommend changes to automate or enhance timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency of billing processes.
• Support internal and external auditors as requested.
• Supervise e‑billing and receivables staff.
• Evaluate e‑billing and receivables staff skill levels, recommend any necessary training or changes.
• Provide performance feedback to staff; develop performance‑management objectives to address concerns; drive engagement and retention; participate in team hiring and separation decisions.
• Delegate assignments and projects to staff as appropriate.
