Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to lead and coordinate the e-billing and payment cycle workflow, including posting, corrections, and monthly reconciliations for our government contracting offices. The role requires five years of legal billing/receivables experience, a strong accounting background, and demonstrated supervisory ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Five years of legal billing/receivables experience and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and billing software; Advanced experience in e-billing.
• Two years of supervisory experience in similar role and ability to assume a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the e-billing and payment cycle workflow including posting and reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, semi-monthly and ad-hoc billing reports for internal and external clients.
• Ensure timely invoice submission to clients based on established timelines.
• Create and distribute ad hoc operational and billing reports to management as requested.
• Collaborate with Controller and Accounting to improve timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency of billing processes.
• Support internal and external auditors as requested.
• Supervise e-billing and receivables staff; evaluate performance and assign training as needed.
