Job summary

Baker Donelson is seeking a Billing Manager to lead the Billing Team within Revenue Services. Under supervision, you will oversee all aspects of client invoicing, ensure accuracy and timeliness, and support revenue cycle management while collaborating with attorneys and staff.

You will monitor workloads, train staff, resolve complex billing issues, and drive process improvements. The role reports to the Director of Revenue Services and requires strong Excel skills and experience with Aderant and

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of the billing functions and legal billing cycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly proficient in Excel.
• Experience with operations/ financial systems (Aderant and Prebill Viewer).
• Previous law firm billing management experience.
• Detail oriented, efficient, organized with the ability to multitask.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, mentor, and provide leadership to the Billing team and ensure quality controls.
• Monitor workload distribution and overtime, improve efficiencies with the Director.
• Maintain hands-on knowledge of all billing functions for training and back-up.
• Manage all Billing Department functions and meet defined deadlines.
• Monitor billings against budgets and liaise with Revenue Managers as needed.
• Conduct group and individual training for billing software users.
• Maintain billing training manual and presentations.
• Lead the Billing team with a results-focused approach.
• Review progress and analyze billing statistics.
