Job summary

Baker Donelson is seeking a Billing Manager to lead the Billing Team within Revenue Services. You will oversee prebill preparation, invoice generation, posting, and resolution of complex billing issues in collaboration with attorneys and staff.

You will report to the Director of Revenue Services, monitor workloads, promote operational excellence, and drive efficient revenue cycle management across departments to deliver outstanding internal client service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a billing team in a law firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, mentor, and lead the Billing team to ensure quality and timely billing.
• Monitor workload distribution and process improvements with the Director of Revenue Services.
• Maintain hands-on knowledge of all billing functions for training and back-up support.
• Oversee billing from prebill through posting and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor actual billings against budgets and coordinate with revenue managers.
• Conduct group and individual training for all billing software users.
• Maintain billing training materials and presentations.
• Lead the Billing team with a results-focused approach.
• Prepare reports and analyze billing statistics.
