Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of billing cycles in a legal setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Experience with Aderant and Prebill Viewer.
• Previous law firm billing management experience.
• Detail oriented and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, mentor, and lead the Billing team with controls ensuring quality and integrity of billing processes.
• Monitor workload distribution and overtime; collaborate with Director of Revenue Services on approved changes.
• Maintain hands-on knowledge of all billing functions to train backup and support, including bill preparation and review.
• Manage all Billing Department functions; ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor actual billings against budgets/targets; liaise with Revenue Managers as needed.
• Conduct group and individual training for all billing software users.
• Maintain and update the billing training manual and related presentations.
• Lead the Billing team with a results-focused approach.
• Review billing progress; compile reports and analysis of billing statistics.
