CGS is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to oversee the e-billing and payment cycle workflow for the Financial department in New York. The role emphasizes accurate billing, timely invoicing, and collaboration with accounting leadership to improve processes.

The ideal candidate has five years of legal billing/receivables experience, advanced MS Office skills, and a proven track record in supervising billing staff while ensuring high-quality financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Five years of legal billing/receivables experience.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook and Access.
• Proven supervisory experience in a similar role.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the e-billing and payment cycle workflow.
• Prepare monthly, semi-monthly and ad-hoc billing reports for internal and external clients.
• Ensure timely invoice submission to clients based on established timelines.
• Create and distribute ad-hoc operational and billing reports to management.
• Collaborate with Controller and Accounting to automate or enhance timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency of billing processes.
• Support internal and external auditors as requested.
• Supervise e-billing and receivables staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and assist in hiring decisions.
