Job summary

Navitus is seeking a Senior Developer, Business Intelligence to translate data into actionable insights for executives and state Medicaid program managers. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and a skilled communicator with experience in analytics and BI tooling.

Responsibilities include building data models, maintaining data integrity, mentoring teammates, and collaborating with state stakeholders to meet reporting requirements in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with focus on business, computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or equivalent education and experience preferred
• At least five years of experience with BA/BS or three years with master’s degree in analytics, data modeling, or BI is preferred
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau, QlikView/QlikSense, SAS, Power BI or similar tools; knowledge of SQL, Python or R is preferred
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with others

Responsibilities

• Use QlikView, QlikSense, SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer and other tools to create data models for reporting
• Identify dependencies and impacts of changes within reporting applications
• Extract, Transform and Load data from various sources
• Adapt to changing reporting requirements and new BI tools in a fast-growing org
• Ensure data integrity and reliability through validation
• Provide insights to streamline analytics processes and improvements
• Serve as analytics contact for audits, inquiries, and escalated analysis
• Lead and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and state partners
• Mentor teammates and SMEs
• Other duties as assigned
