State of Maryland’s LTSSMaryland program needs a seasoned BI Analyst to design, develop, and oversee reporting and analytics solutions. You will drive the modernization of legacy SSRS/SSAS reporting into a scalable BI platform, enabling accurate, timely insights for policy decisions and operations.

You’ll partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, establish data dictionaries and governance, and mentor teams on best practices in reporting and data quality across MDH’s LTSSMaryland

Formación

• Seven years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining software systems.
• Experience leading or supporting migration to a modern BI platform (Power BI, Tableau, cloud analytics).
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience with SSRS/SSAS or similar legacy tools.
• Experience consolidating, standardizing, and retiring reports in large environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design and deliver ad hoc and recurring reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business rules.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, refine needs, and translate data into clear insights and recommendations.
• Lead the transition from legacy reporting tools (SSRS/SSAS) to a modern BI platform, including planning, design, and implementation for LTSSMaryland system.
• Oversee report migration: assess current reports, consolidate or retire where needed, and ensure accuracy post-migration.
• Maintain and standardize data structures, definitions, and reporting logic (e.g., data dictionary, lineage).
• Establish and enforce reporting standards, validation checks, and quality controls.
• Monitor report usage and performance to identify improvements and reduce redundancy.
• Provide guidance, documentation, and support to improve adoption and effective use of reporting tools.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to deliver reporting and analytics solutions aligned with business needs.
