Job summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst will design, develop, and oversee reporting, data, and analytics solutions for the LTSSMaryland system at Maryland's Department of Health Office of Enterprise Technology. This role leads the modernization of legacy SSRS/SSAS reporting to a modern BI platform while serving as the primary authority for data definitions, reporting standards, and ad hoc reporting.

- 7+ years designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or OS software.
- Experience migrating to a modern BI platform (Power BI, Tableau, cloud analytics).
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Experience with SSRS/SSAS or similar legacy tools.
- Experience with Medicaid or MDH LTSSMaryland System.
- Experience with data dictionaries, data lineage, and governance practices.

This role leads the modernization of legacy SSRS/SSAS reporting to a modern BI platform while serving as the primary authority for data definitions, reporting standards, and ad hoc reporting. The analyst will partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into reporting requirements and support the broader Medicaid IT project ecosystem.
- Seven years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software
- Experience leading or supporting migration to a modern BI platform (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, cloud analytics)
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills
- Experience with SSRS/SSAS or similar legacy tools
- Experience working with Medicaid or MDH LTSSMaryland System
- Experience with data dictionaries, data lineage, and governance practices
