Job summary

Madison Energy Infrastructure seeks an experienced Energy Storage Manager to support development, procurement, contracting, and execution of BESS projects across commercial and sub-utility scale. This role sits within the Engineering team and works across M&A, Development, and handover to Construction and Asset Management.

The ideal candidate bridges equipment specs, revenue terms, vendor procurement, and risk mitigation, with strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in battery energy storage, renewable energy procurement, or power infrastructure.
• Proven track record negotiating and executing complex contracts.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Specification – Lead BESS technical specifications and acceptance testing criteria.
• Commercial & Revenue Support – Translate revenue requirements into technical specs and support financial inputs.
• Procurement & Contracting – Own end-to-end procurement strategy including RFPs and negotiations.
• Negotiation & Risk Mitigation – Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, warranties, and risk terms.
• Client & Stakeholder Interface – Be the technical-commercial point of contact with customers and partners.
• Cross-Functional Project Support – Collaborate across Development, Finance, Legal, and Construction.
