Job summary

Northeastern University is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist/Analyst to lead day-to-day administration, analytics, and improvement of health, welfare, and retirement programs in a fast-paced environment.

You will partner with vendors, manage complex inquiries, deliver dashboards and reports, ensure compliance, and support open enrollment and retirement processes for a large, high-performing workforce in Boston.

Qualifications

• Minimum require bachelor’s degree in HR, business, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration or retirement analytics.
• Experience with health and welfare and retirement programs including eligibility and enrollment.
• Strong Excel and data reporting skills; Workday or similar HRIS preferred.
• Experience in higher education or nonprofit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior point of contact for escalated benefits inquiries and enrollment support.
• Administer health, welfare, and retirement programs including open enrollment and COBRA coordination.
• Partner with carriers/vendors to resolve data discrepancies and billing issues.
• Deliver analytic reports and dashboards to inform program design and cost management.
• Support compliance and process improvements; collaborate with HR peers.
