NE Northeast Ohio Medical University is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist to administer and optimize employee benefits within the Office of Human Resources. The role includes managing health, welfare, and retirement programs, open enrollment, provider partnerships, and regulatory compliance in a collaborative academic setting.

The position offers a starting salary range of $62,167–$68,287 with a comprehensive benefits package and a hybrid work arrangement after six months, plus professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of general HR or related experience with emphasis on benefits and data management.
• Knowledge of employee data management to ensure compliance with benefits regulations.
• Proven experience with utilization of proprietary data management/ HRIS systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Benefits Administration: administer all benefit plans and programs and manage the benefits platform.
• Open Enrollment: plan and administer annual enrollment and new-hire benefits orientation.
• Benefits Partnership: work with providers, review billing, and ensure accurate payments.
• Data Management: coordinate with IT and Accounting to ensure data accuracy and reporting.
• Compliance: ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to benefits.
• Miscellaneous Duties: perform other duties as assigned.
