Job summary

FloridaCommerce in Tallahassee, FL, seeks a Benefits Administrator to provide oversight of the Data Quality Unit and Monitoring and Compliance Unit within the Policy and Quality Assurance Section. You will manage daily operations, set priorities, and support program supervisors with hiring, performance evaluations, and other personnel duties.

This SES-level role involves coordinating with internal and external partners, ensuring reporting and audit compliance, and liaising with IT for the Employ

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
• Knowledge and methods of data collection and analysis.
• Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
• Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and other computer software, applications and data tracking systems as required.
• Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to interpret complex laws, regulations and statutes in order to develop program policy.
• Ability to present information to diverse groups and audiences and facilitate workshops or training presentations.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to establish effective internal and external relationships.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to effectively manage and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Data Quality Unit and Monitoring and Compliance Unit.
• Manage hiring, performance evaluations, and personnel duties for section supervisors.
• Oversee workforce programmatic monitoring and compliance activities including MSFW monitoring.
• Coordinate with vendor for Employ Florida system performance and enhancements.
• Review policies and plans; evaluate impact on operations and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote workforce programs and initiatives.
• Oversee reporting and audit compliance for assigned programs.
• Assist with legislative bill analysis and budget oversight.
• Represent the Department at meetings and conferences as needed.
