Job summary

Mercury, partnering with Central, seeks a Benefits Broker to design and enroll SMB benefit packages across states. You’ll ensure accurate enrollment and up-to-date information while simplifying complex benefits for founders and teams.

You’ll drive proactive communication, resolve issues early, and manage renewals, aiming for seamless, compliant benefits administration and a superior client experience.

Qualifications

• Active Life & Health broker license required.
• Experience selling or administering small group benefits across multiple states, with SMB focus.
• Exceptional detail orientation to help build resilient systems and processes.
• Deep customer empathy to act in the customer’s best interest.
• Clear, direct communication and ability to explain complex benefits decisions to founders.
• Top 5% performance; colleagues would attest to your excellence.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through designing benefits packages and plan selection.
• Own end-to-end enrollment process: complete and submit insurance forms on time.
• Keep systems up-to-date with health insurance information to avoid downstream issues.
• Communicate proactively to resolve issues before they become problems.
• Refine internal processes to ensure enrollment is never missed.
• Solve hard benefits problems across carriers, platforms, and regulations.
• Manage client lifecycle at renewal and oversee open enrollment.
