Job summary

The Standard is seeking an experienced account manager to serve key policyholders and producers across the DC/MD/VA region. You will renew, negotiate, and tailor contracts, while promoting extended coverages and managing large accounts.

Responsibilities include leading enrollment activities, visiting clients onsite, and collaborating with sales and underwriting to optimize profitability and retention. A license and the ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in group insurance account management (2500+ lives).
• Life and Disability insurance license for all states within the office’s assigned territory.
• Personal automobile is available for business use with adequate insurance and a safe driving record.
• Ability to travel within territory for face to face client and broker meetings when requested.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage renewal strategies with key policyholders and producers.
• Negotiate rates, contract provisions and administrative issues with Regional or National Accounts.
• Promote additional lines of coverage and manage proposal reviews and presentations.
• Lead acquisition and setup of large accounts and coordinate enrollment and benefit fairs.
