Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Director of Business Development for HVAC to own the largest multi-location deals from first meeting to signed contracts. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, focusing on strategic HVAC groups across locations.

You will close high-value opportunities, manage long consultative cycles, and leverage inbound leads to win multi-location contracts that cover entire groups and open the next opportunity.

Qualifications

• Proven record of closing $1M+ annual deals in multi-location accounts.
• Experience selling to HVAC groups or similar multi-location buyers.
• Long consultative sales cycles with multiple decision makers.
• Prefer closing over managing people.

Responsibilities

• Own full sales cycle: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close (3–12 months).
• Engage with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders at the table.
• Expand to more locations and services after signing.
• Collaborate with strategists and leadership to craft proposals for key deals.
