Job summary

First Merchants Bank seeks a Senior Customer Relationship Representative to deliver high-quality service, complete transactions, open accounts, and process loan applications while identifying opportunities to meet clients' financial needs.

You will build trusted relationships, mentor junior staff, drive deposits and lending referrals, and ensure accuracy and compliance in all activities within a community-focused banking environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year banking, sales, or related experience.
• At least 6 months selling products or services.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at employment/start.
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client experiences by handling complex service and relationship needs.
• Serve as trusted advisor, recommending integrated solutions across product lines.
• Open new accounts and process loan applications with accuracy and speed.
• Drive deposits, lending referrals, and digital banking onboarding.
• Manage CRM activity and document client interactions for follow-up.
• Support team with mentoring and adherence to policy and controls.
