Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Senior Operations Business Analyst to lead strategic initiatives across banking systems and processes. You will drive data collection accuracy, design complex solutions with enterprise impact, and mentor junior analysts while coordinating with senior stakeholders.

You will manage multiple cross-functional projects, define requirements, and ensure timely deployment of improved operational processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Banking Operations, data management, or process improvement.
• Bachelor degree required; Master’s/MBA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations and products.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL, and data analytics.
• Excellent organization and communication; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of products and features, enhance user experience, and ensure data availability to improve banking processes across multiple business units.
• Collaborate closely with development teams and senior leadership throughout the Bank to design and integrate complex processes spanning multiple systems.
• Lead and prioritize team initiatives, manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, drive iterative improvements, and address tech-debt strategically.
• Partner with teams, managers, and executives to develop data-driven solution designs, while documenting process improvement needs and presenting recommendations to leadership.
• Summarize, track, train and communicate updates and changes to end users; develop training materials and lead change management initiatives.
• Lead the analysis, resolution, and correction of complex design or solution issues while communicating impacts and timelines to affected users and stakeholders.
• Facilitate enterprise-level project planning, develop comprehensive business and reporting requirements, lead application testing, and ensure successful application deployment.
• Mentor and guide junior Operations Business Analysts in best practices and professional development.
