Job summary

Republic Bank & Trust Co. is seeking a Business Development Manager II to uncover loan and deposit opportunities within and around the Banking Center. You will promote growth of the core customer base, cross-sell for related lines of business, and lead a sales-focused, customer-centric banking team.

The role requires strong outside calling, relationship-building, and the ability to manage loans, renewals, and delinquencies while maintaining compliant, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of financial industry experience.
• Previous lending experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to sell and cross-sell bank products and services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet applications.
• NMLS registration may be required*.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial growth for the Banking Center by selling deposits and loans to consumer and business clients.
• Conduct outside calls to businesses and walk-in clients; establish referral networks.
• Develop relationships with clients and cross-sell to related lines of business (Treasury, Mortgage, Nest Egg).
• Lead the sales function, set a high performance standard, and coach staff in sales techniques.
• Manage loan maturities, renewals and delinquencies; handle escalated customer issues.
• Engage in community involvement and networking to grow the client base.
• Attend daily/weekly/monthly sales meetings to ensure targets are met.
• Maintain knowledge of credit culture and compliance requirements affecting the role.
