Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and operate the foundational platforms and shared services used by multiple engineering teams across the United States.

The role focuses on building backend platform capabilities—request routing, traffic management, data fan-out, caching layers, and durable event processing—able to handle very high traffic with predictable latency and minimal toil. Strong distributed systems expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
• Experience building internal platforms or shared services.
• Strong distributed systems design with low latency and high availability.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language (Java/Go/Scala/Rust/C++).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate foundational backend platforms and shared services.
• Develop platform capabilities for high throughput with scalable routing and caching.
• Lead multi-quarter platform initiatives and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Document designs clearly and mentor engineers to raise engineering standards.
