Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate foundational platforms and shared services for multiple product teams. The role focuses on high-throughput, low-latency backend capabilities, data fan-out, caching, and durable event processing to support very large traffic volumes.

The position emphasizes distributed-systems expertise, developer experience, and leadership across teams, with opportunities to mentor engineers and shape platform strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of backend/platform engineering experience.
• Experience building internal platforms or shared services for multiple teams.
• Strong distributed-systems design with attention to consistency, availability, latency, and failure modes.
• Proficiency in backend languages (Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++).
• Knowledge of high-throughput messaging systems (Kafka, Pulsar, or NATS).
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading architectural discussions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and shared infrastructure used by hundreds of engineers.
• Architect high-throughput, latency-sensitive backend platforms with scalable queueing and caching.
• Build durable, event-driven pipelines and asynchronous job execution platforms.
• Define platform standards for API design, deployment, and versioning.
• Establish observability, SLOs, capacity planning, and incident response practices.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and lead architectural discussions across teams.
