Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Principal Backend Developer to design and operate high-throughput backend platforms. This remote role focuses on building core services, routing, caching, event processing, and scalable data workflows used across engineering teams.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in backend/platform engineering, strong distributed-systems skills, and hands-on expertise in Java/Go/C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Six+ years of professional backend or platform engineering experience.
• Demonstrated track record building and operating internal platforms or shared services consumed by multiple teams.
• Strong, hands-on expertise designing distributed systems with consistency, availability, latency, and failure-mode focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the foundational platforms and shared services used by multiple engineering teams.
• Deliver high-throughput backend capabilities with low latency and reliable fault-tolerance.
• Lead multi-quarter platform initiatives with stakeholder management and clear trade-off decisions.
