Baker Tilly is seeking a Sr Platform Engineer — Backend to join the AI Product Group and help build and operate scalable backend services powering AI applications across the firm. You will design, implement, and maintain APIs, authentication, data access interfaces, and production infrastructure while upholding enterprise security and compliance.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of hands-on backend or platform software engineering experience.
• Experience designing, building, and operating production shared backend services.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, or entitlement capabilities.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Python, TypeScript, Go, or Java.
• Ability to quickly learn new languages, frameworks, and technologies.
• Strong backend fundamentals and distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with observability and distributed tracing.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and runtime components.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and entitlement capabilities.
• Develop secure data access interfaces and MCP endpoints for governed data.
• Create reusable services and stable interfaces for AI model evaluation.
• Build event-driven telemetry pipelines for monitoring AI activity.
• Collaborate with AI Engineering to integrate evaluations and tests.
• Prototype and evaluate new platform capabilities for scalability.
• Own production deployment, monitoring, and reliability of services.
• Contribute to engineering standards, docs, and best practices.
• Support knowledge transfer and handoffs to internal teams.
