Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Sr Platform Engineer — Backend to join the AI Product Group and help design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs powering AI solutions across the firm. You will implement secure authentication, data access interfaces, and production-ready infrastructure with strong ownership of delivery and reliability.

The role emphasizes collaboration with global teams, enterprise standards, and rapid learning of new technologies to support an expanding AI ecosystem

Qualifications

3 years of hands-on backend or platform software engineering experience in production.
Experience building and operating shared backend services in production.
Hands-on experience implementing authentication, authorization, or entitlement capabilities in production services.
Proficiency with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and cloud-based deployments.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
Implement IAM capabilities for users and agents.
Develop secure data access interfaces and MCP endpoints.
Support scalable platform architecture and telemetry pipelines.
Own production deployment, CI/CD, observability, and reliability.
Collaborate with global teams and external partners.
