Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer — Integrations to lead the design, development, and operation of the AI agent integration framework within the APG platform. This role establishes scalable, secure, and standardized connectivity between third-party AI agents and the firm’s ecosystem while guarding enterprise data and decision history.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in platform engineering, systems integration, or related software engineering roles.
• Experience with event-driven integration architectures and API platforms.
• Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript, with production-grade code.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable integration frameworks, including event-driven architectures and API endpoints.
• Establish and enforce vendor integration standards, specs and acceptance criteria.
• Support data ownership, decision traces and vendor portability requirements.
• Develop data ingestion and telemetry pipelines for AI agent decision traces and lineage.
• Ensure secure integration with identity management, entitlements and controls.
• Collaborate across global teams to align standards and practices.
• Drive production readiness with observability, monitoring, testing and rollback capabilities.
• Lead vendor integration efforts with external engineering teams.
• Participate in strategic initiatives to advance the AI platform strategy.
