Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer — Integrations to lead the design, development, and operation of the firm’s AI agent integration framework within the APG platform. This role focuses on scalable, secure, standardized integration across third‑party AI agents while safeguarding enterprise data and decisions.

You will partner with architecture, data platform, procurement, and vendor teams to translate requirements into production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 10+ years in platform engineering, systems integration, or related software engineering.
• Strong experience with event-driven architectures, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to define integration standards and drive vendor collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and Build Integration Frameworks: develop scalable integration capabilities including event-driven architectures and APIs.
• Establish and Enforce Vendor Integration Standards: define specs and acceptance criteria for interoperability and security.
• Support Vendor Contract Requirements: translate technical standards into contractual commitments and data rights.
• Develop Data Ingestion and Telemetry Pipelines: build pipelines for decision traces, lineage, and telemetry.
• Ensure Secure Integration and Access Controls: implement identity management and entitlements.
• Advance Platform Engineering Capabilities: create shared services and gateways for AI ecosystem.
• Drive Production Readiness and Reliability: establish observability and rollback capabilities.
• Lead Technical Vendor Integration: work with external teams on integration validation and testing.
• Collaborate Across Global Engineering Teams: coordinate with teams in multiple regions.
