Footprint is seeking a backend engineer to design and operate high-scale Rust services for fraud verification and risk analysis. You’ll own APIs, data models, deployment, and security posture while collaborating with product, frontend, and platform teams.

You’ll work on Percy’s agent-shaped workloads and platform services, contributing to a secure, audited identity infrastructure used by banks and fintechs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, building, and operating backend systems under real load

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Rust APIs powering verification and risk checks
• Own data models, architectural calls, and deployment across services
• Ensure correctness, reliability, and secure posture of backend services
• Work on the agent-shaped workloads in Percy and related systems
