Job summary

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in the Java and Spring framework ecosystem.
• Extensive experience building and maintaining RESTful web APIs for external clients.
• Solid understanding of relational database principles particularly with PostgreSQL.
• Deep knowledge of modern security practices including authentication and authorization frameworks.
• Experience with automated testing CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools like DataDog or GitHub Actions.
• Ability to balance independent work with cross functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale backend services that power residential energy solutions.
• Develop and maintain external facing REST APIs and the underlying logic supporting them.
• Build integrations with internal distributed systems to simplify complex product capabilities.
• Oversee data protection and security protocols including system monitoring and hardening.
• Partner with product and engineering leads to refine software requirements and quality standards.
• Drive a culture of engineering excellence where developers take full ownership of code quality.
• Create and update comprehensive technical documentation.
