Jobgether in the United States is seeking a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer to design and build core backend infrastructure powering AI workloads, real-time pricing, data processing, and energy trading.

You will own systems from architecture through deployment with significant autonomy, collaborating closely with product teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that address complex engineering challenges in the energy sector.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering with problem solving and system design.
• Experience defining, architecting, and building complex backend systems.
• Hands-on with deploying and maintaining production-grade backends.
• Clear communication with product and engineering stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain complex backend systems from architecture to production.
• Develop the inference layer for AI workloads handling millions of prompts.
• Migrate AI workloads to proprietary GPU infrastructure for better performance.
• Build systems processing energy settlement data with continuous recalculation.
• Develop real-time billing infrastructure and pricing based on meter readings.
• Support energy trading and hedging systems with reconcilation to exchanges.
• Ensure services meet availability, reliability, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business needs into scalable architectures.
• Own technical decisions and drive complex projects autonomously.
