Job summary

EnergyHub is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Battery team to design and develop backend services that support residential battery programs while maintaining strong security across our infrastructure.

You will build scalable APIs, integrate with distributed services, and collaborate with product and OEM teams to deliver value to clients and advance virtual power plants for a sustainable energy future.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with the Java/Spring ecosystem and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of security practices and data protection.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, and testing practices.
• Relational database fundamentals, PostgreSQL common in our stack.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across our battery solution.
• Develop and maintain our client-facing REST API and backend logic.
• Integrate with distributed internal services to enable new product capabilities.
• Ensure proper security and data protection policies, procedures, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to improve requirements and software quality.
