Job summary

Quanata, LLC is seeking a Senior Back End Engineer to design, build, and maintain core services powering Quanata’s platform. You will own complex features end-to-end, influence architecture and data flows, and mentor other engineers in a remote-first environment across the U.S.

You will work on APIs, data orchestration, databases, observability, and security, with exposure to GraphQL, gRPC, and AWS. A strong backend background and leadership mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6–8 years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Go and experience with Python, Ruby, TypeScript, or C#.
• Experience designing, debugging, and deploying high-performance client/server systems.
• Experience with databases and messaging systems; evaluating and selecting solutions.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of security principles, testing methodologies, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain client-facing and internal APIs.
• Architect and orchestrate data flows across backend services and third-party systems.
• Design and manage database schemas and data storage.
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex features from concept to deployment.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and improve quality.
• Evaluate, integrate, and support third-party services and platforms.
• Improve system architecture, performance, observability, security, and reliability.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing across the team.
