Job summary

Quanata, a remote-first technology company in the U.S., seeks a Senior Manager, Back End Engineering to lead core policy, billing, and ledger platforms. You will shape architecture, guide delivery, and mentor mid-level to staff engineers while aligning technical work with business goals.

You will partner with product and program management, drive improvements in engineering processes, and ensure alignment with broader company objectives.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of software engineering experience
• 4+ years of engineering management experience
• Experience with sprint and roadmap planning, capacity modeling, and resourcing
• Executive-ready written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coach, lead, and develop a team of engineers across levels
• Provide architectural guidance for backend systems
• Partner with Product and Program Management to drive product delivery
• Improve engineering processes for efficiency and effectiveness
• Drive KPIs for throughput, quality, security, and performance
• Lead sprint and roadmap planning, capacity modeling, and resourcing
• Stay current on industry trends and promote best practices in engineering
