Quanata, LLC is seeking a Senior Manager, Back End Engineering to lead a team delivering core policy, billing, and financial ledger platforms. You will provide architectural direction, mentor engineers, and drive scalable, secure backend systems in collaboration with product and program management.

This remote-first role covers coordination across teams, KPI-driven delivery, and shaping engineering processes.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in engineering management.
• Experience in personnel development and performance management.
• Project management experience including sprint/roadmap planning and resourcing.
• Strong technical architecture fluency focused on back end systems.
• Executive-ready written communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Coach, lead, and develop a team of engineers across backend platforms.
• Provide architectural guidance and support technical decision-making for back end systems.
• Partner with Product/Program Management to drive successful product delivery.
• Improve engineering processes to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Set expectations with leadership and external stakeholders and monitor KPIs.
