Job summary

rePurpose Global is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable server-side services and APIs. You will own cloud infrastructure on AWS, manage CI/CD pipelines, and contribute across the full software development lifecycle.

Collaboration with product and design teams is essential, with a focus on performance, reliability, and security. Ideal candidates bring TS proficiency, API design expertise, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of software development, preferably in a cloud-based modern stack.
• Strong TS/Node.js background with APIs (REST/GraphQL) and cloud services.
• Experience with AWS, IaC, containers, and CI/CD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable server-side services and APIs.
• Own and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS, including CI/CD and containers.
• Contribute across full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment.
• Improve codebase performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product/design/engineering to translate requirements.
• Stay updated on AI tooling and advocate technology adoption when applicable.
