Job summary

pureIntegration is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and maintain REST APIs and distributed systems using Java and Node.js, with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance. You will work remotely with cross-functional teams across product, devops, and QA to deliver scalable backend services.

Responsibilities include building containerized microservices on AWS, implementing tests, and improving CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in designing REST APIs and backend microservices.
• Experience with AWS and containerized applications, particularly Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, and Node.js
• Build and support containerized microservices deployed on AWS, including Kubernetes/EKS environments
• Troubleshoot complex backend and distributed-system issues, performing root-cause analysis and driving fixes through to resolution
