Senior Backend Software Engineer candidates will own backend design and scalable system development, collaborating with frontend, product managers, and data teams to deliver high-quality features for 1P and 3P drug data management.

Qualifications

• BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4 years of equivalent professional experience.
• 5-8 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience at a high-growth startup or midsize tech company is a plus.
• Solid experience with Go, Java, C#, or C++ (Go strong plus).
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL including schema design and SQL tuning.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and testing best practices.
• Strong understanding of GraphQL APIs, CI/CD, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience using GenAI tools to deliver production software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend features using Go, GraphQL, Node, and SQL.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable software.
• Provide estimates for system and feature builds with design documentation.
• Apply best practices, testing, automation, and modern tooling.
• Leverage AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, RDS) for batch processing.
• Triage production issues and implement long-term mitigations.
• Mentor junior engineers through reviews and coaching.
• Help translate technical vision into quarterly roadmaps.
• Foster a culture of learning and exploration of new technologies.
• Evaluate AI tools to improve delivery speed and quality.
