Job summary

Resend is hiring a Backend Engineer to join a fully remote Americas team as a full-time contributor. You will own features end-to-end, build reliable distributed systems, scale APIs and databases, and operate what you build with strong monitoring and on-call participation.

You will collaborate with support to turn customer problems into product improvements, drive quality through tests and tooling, and shape the infrastructure behind a high-scale email platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in backend systems.
• Experience building and operating production services.
• Experience with queues, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from concept to API, dashboard, and services.
• Build reliable distributed systems, including queues and workers.
• Scale APIs and databases for growing usage.
• Operate what you build with monitoring, deployments, and on-call involvement.
• Collaborate with support to translate customer problems into product improvements.
• Improve engineering quality with tests, tooling, and existing systems.
