Job summary

Marqeta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Network File Integration team. You will design and deliver scalable batch and event-driven processing of card network settlement and transaction data, own projects, and collaborate with cross-functional partners.

This role is remote within Ontario or British Columbia, Canada, with Flexible First. Join us to build reliable backend services for a modern cloud-based payments platform and contribute to faster card delivery and settlement

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software or data engineering experience, preferably in payments/fintech.
• Experience designing, building and scaling batch and event processing solutions.
• Ability to mentor other engineers and handle production issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain card network transactions at scale.
• Create Digital Wallet Tokens via Apple Pay and Google Pay.
• Build backend experiences for customers, internal and external.
• Collaborate with product managers to scope and estimate work.
• Participate in on-call coverage.
