Job summary

LVT is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer in American Fork, UT to build scalable microservices and APIs powering our AI-driven platform. You will design, code, and deploy high-performance backend systems as part of an autonomous engineering team, upholding craftsmanship through thoughtful reviews and testing.

You will collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps, optimize latency, CI/CD pipelines, and stay current with cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience shipping production-grade microservices and APIs.
• 5+ years of backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs (OpenAPI) and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with NestJS and containerized workflows (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong SQL/database design and query tuning.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code with strong testing.
• Excellent collaboration in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-velocity backend features and API endpoints.
• Optimize backend architecture, API latency, and database performance.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to translate requirements into specs and releases.
• Drive unit testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Perform root-cause analysis on production defects and resolve edge cases.
• Mentor fellow engineers and share knowledge.
