Job summary

LVT is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to lead the design, performance, and scaling of our core backend architecture from our American Fork headquarters. You will mentor engineers and raise development standards while delivering resilient cloud services that power our AI-driven site technology.

Based onsite, you will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate product visions into robust technical specifications, estimates, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience centered on backend systems.
• Experience with cloud services and API development.
• Strong communication in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide Strategic Technical Leadership across backend architecture and design standards.
• Ship high-velocity, scalable Node.js/TypeScript backend services.
• Elevate engineering standards with modern practices and code quality benchmarks.
• Optimize development lifecycles and CI/CD workflows for speed and reliability.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, QA, and DevOps.
• Identify root causes and resolve complex edge cases to protect uptime.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and lead architectural reviews.
• Pioneer emerging technologies to future-proof the backend stack.
