Job summary

LiveView Technologies (LVT) is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to lead the design, performance, and scaling of our core backend architecture at our American Fork headquarters. You will mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and drive resilient cloud services powering our AI-enabled site technology.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience with cloud services and API development.
• 3+ years of hands-on Node.js and TypeScript production experience.
• Experience designing OpenAPI/REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with NestJS and containerized deployment with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong emphasis on reliability, testing, and ownership in Agile environments.
• BS/MS in CS or related field (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Provide Strategic Technical Leadership across production services.
• Ship high-velocity, scalable Node.js/TypeScript backend architecture.
• Elevate engineering standards with code quality benchmarks and best practices.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and development lifecycles.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to translate product vision into technical specs.
• Resolve complex edge cases to protect uptime and resilience.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews and coaching.
• Pioneer emerging technologies to future-proof backend suite.
