Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in backend or platform engineering.
• Proven ability to build microservices and REST/gRPC APIs.
• Database-backed systems with complex, evolving schemas and deterministic rules or policy-driven platforms.
• Direct experience integrating enterprise rules engines (Drools, ODM, DMN, OPA, or similar).
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for increased productivity and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and operate microservices that deliver action and variant metadata, context-aware policy evaluation, and high-performance APIs.
• Design, deploy, and maintain resilient database schemas to support catalogs, versioning, and lifecycle management.
• Integrate and manage enterprise-grade rules engines to support eligibility, constraints, and business policies.
• Collaborate with platform, data, and ML teams to maintain clean integration points and shared standards.
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor junior engineers while upholding governance and best practices.
