Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of backend/platform engineering experience.
• Experience building microservices and REST/gRPC APIs.
• Experience with database-backed systems and evolving schemas.
• Direct experience integrating enterprise rules engines (Drools, ODM, DMN, OPA, or similar).
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and operate microservices delivering action and variant metadata and context-aware policy evaluation.
• Design versioned, read-optimized APIs for high-performance runtime consumption.
• Ensure services are highly available, low-latency, horizontally scalable, and backward compatible.
• Apply best practices for API design, schema evolution, service isolation, and secure integration.
• Integrate and manage enterprise-grade rules engines to support policy-driven logic.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to generate/refactor schemas and service logic, and validate rules.
• Develop automated tests for migrations, SLAs, and rule behavior, with strong observability.
