Job summary

FutureFit AI is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (Integrations & Platform) to design scalable data integrations with government and enterprise partners. You will build async workflows, automate operational tasks, and improve observability across the platform.

You’ll own complex integrations end-to-end, debug production issues, and drive reliability with reusable patterns. This fully remote role requires strong experience in TypeScript/Node.js and a passion for scalable, enterprise-grade systems.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of backend, platform, or integration engineering experience.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proven experience building and maintaining complex data integrations at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain bidirectional data integrations with government and enterprise partners.
• Build reliable async processing using queues, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency patterns.
• Eliminate manual support work through backend services and internal tools.
• Implement structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for observability.
• Stay close to running systems to debug and improve production reliability.
• Establish integration standards and reusable patterns for the team.
• Collaborate with external vendors on API changes and deployments.
