Job summary

Vic.ai is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the AI-first iPaaS backend that powers integrations with ERP and financial systems. This remote role offers Spain-focused flexibility, with a strong preference for Madrid-area collaboration, and opportunities to ship production-grade software at scale.

You will design and implement bidirectional data flows, APIs, and background workers in TypeScript/Node.js, Elixir/Phoenix, and Python, while ensuring reliability, observability, and security in

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production backend systems.
• Strong experience with TypeScript/Node.js, Elixir/Phoenix, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate integrations between ERP systems and Vic.ai.
• Develop backend services in TypeScript/Node.js.
• Design integrations with REST, SOAP, OData, OAuth2.
• Make jobs idempotent with retries, rate limiting, logging.
• Own services from development to production on AWS and ensure observability.
• Contribute to AI-assisted onboarding tooling.
