Job summary

Flex is seeking a senior software engineer to help build its AI-native private banking platform. You will work across the stack with a focus on back-end systems, owning features from design to release, and mentoring others as part of a small, high-ownership team.

Candidates should have 4+ years shipping high-quality software at scale, strong NodeJS and Typescript skills, experience with cloud providers, and a willingness to own complex end-to-end problems in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in NodeJS and TypeScript.
• Understanding of architectural patterns for scalable, low-latency systems.
• High standards and strong communication.
• Data-driven decision making for technical direction.
• Experience with modular monoliths and microservices.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience shipping at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own large domains and features related to core ledgering of transactions.
• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Flex's platform and services.
• Architect well thought-out services and data models to support growth.
• Own end-to-end problems, including API contracts, data, scalability, security, observability, and metrics.
• Lead by example and mentor engineers in planning, development and testing.
• Drive best-in-class technology frameworks and tooling while staying current with technology trends.
• Be on call to solve problems for the servicing team.
