Job summary

ZoomInfo is seeking a senior backend engineer to own the platform integrations layer end-to-end, including data ingestion, orchestration, and reliability improvements. You will build inbound/outbound integrations with third-party platforms and design scalable, RESTful APIs with strong versioning and error handling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focusing on backend systems.
• Strong experience with Node.js, NestJS, Java, and TypeScript.
• Proven track record integrating with external APIs and building inbound/outbound integrations.
• Experience building high-volume data services with attention to throughput/latency.
• Solid understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT).
• Proficiency with MongoDB; comfort with relational/NoSQL data stores; React familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform integrations layer end-to-end, including data ingestion, exports, retries, and state management.
• Build and maintain inbound/outbound integrations with third-party platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
• Design in-house services for high-volume data processing under tight time constraints; optimize performance.
• Develop RESTful and webhook APIs with proper rate limiting, pagination, error handling, and versioning.
• Collaborate with product/platform teams to define integration requirements and SLAs/SLOs.
• Add observability (logging, tracing, metrics) to integration systems for reliability.
• Lead medium/large feature development independently within agile processes; mentor engineers.
