Job summary

ZoomInfo is hiring for a backend-focused engineer to own the platform integrations layer end-to-end, building reliable data ingestion/exports and orchestrations in a fast-paced environment.

You will design APIs (RESTful and webhook-based) and drive high-volume data processing with noticeable throughput and latency improvements while collaborating with product teams on SLAs/SLOs. This role offers a hybrid work model in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js (NestJS), JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Proven experience integrating with external APIs and building inbound/outbound integrations.
• Experience designing high-volume data services with low latency.
• Solid understanding of authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT).

Responsibilities

• Own the platform integrations layer end-to-end, including retries and state management.
• Build and maintain inbound/outbound integrations with third-party platforms.
• Design in-house services capable of processing large volumes of data under tight time constraints.
• Design and maintain RESTful and webhook-based APIs with robust versioning and error handling.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to define integration requirements and SLAs/SLOs.
• Build observability (logging, tracing, metrics) into integration systems and monitor reliability.
• Lead medium/large feature development within agile processes and mentor engineers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate new tools for potential adoption.
